Bridging Effectiveness Gaps: A Candid Look at Board Practices

Effective board oversight demands information that is as current and relevant as possible. There are, however, natural gaps between what management communicates and what the board needs to know. The information flow between management and the board may not always be perfect, and board committees may have similar troubles bringing the full board “up to speed” on certain issues. The purpose of this report, produced in conjunction with McGladrey, is to address these issues, which we call the “effectiveness gap.”
