NACD Directorship 2020®: Geopolitical Disruption

Event Details

April 17, 2014

2-3 p.m. (ET)

As the global marketplace continues to expand, emerging risks and opportunities are altering the geopolitical landscape in new and lasting ways. Directors must keep in mind that the definition and quality of corporate governance will vary widely across the world, and ensure they understand how these differences will impact conducting business in those areas. From corruption and bribery in emerging and frontier markets, to ensuring compliance across borders in M&A deals, to anticipating potential political shake-ups, directors must be prepared to lead—even in times of great uncertainty.

Drawing on key takeaways heard from leading experts at NACD Directorship 2020 peer exchange held in March and new insights from Maj. Gen. Barbara J. Faulkenberry and Marvin Zonis, this webinar will focus on how directors can anticipate and capitalize on these emerging opportunities and mitigate and respond to challenges.
